CameraTransfer I'm a photographer. I have, of course, some cameras and some of them has an dedicated app by the manufacturer. Sony got their "Imaging Edge", Olympus has "OI share" and Samsung (yeah, i still have one) doesn't have their app anymore - so basically everything is okay!? No!

Sonys app (iOS and android) does work okay, as long as you only want/need JPEG files (embeded in the RAW files, or the saved ones along with the RAW files). Imaging Edge can't import the RAW files most people want, but has a well documented API and you can use Sony-PMCA-RE and some third party on-camera apps, like the webserver, to retrieve the RAW files. Olympus' OI share is better in it's features: you can view and select and download JPEG and RAW files, but it's WIFI connection isn't the one we call stable or trustworthy. There were times, when I couldn't transfer any photo and sometimes it seems to work for a few photos and suddenly it stops.

I wanted to create an application for android, and discovered CLAUDE. CLAUDE is heavily used by a member of the rubyFPV/onyxFPV who designed a tool for editing the video or configure the airunit. So I installed CLAUDE app on my android device, told it what I want to create and what my own background is. It asked me some questions about the interface and after about an hour I had a reply with complete files, ready to compile. I was stunned. I didn't even type any line or letter at all. Some "how to compile" and "no, it doesn't work" later, i could compile the app on my computer, installed the app and came back to CLAUDE to tell it what I didn't like and what else i wanted and got the new files.

All in all, it installs fine and connects to the selected camera. BUT: the Olympus connection works, and the list of photos is loaded and sorted by date, but the thumbnails won't load/show. You can select the destination folder yourself, I use the OMDS folder that OI share already created, and the photos are transfered well. Sony isn't working in any way. I can connect to the cameras (A7II & RX100M3) but no photos are listed so no photo can be transfered.
